Matcha Latte for Breakfast

Matcha makes my body feel really good.

It probably has something to do with the EGCg (epigallocatechin gallate), the powerhouse polyphenol found in the leaves. Polyphenols are amazing because they help neutralize free radicals and help to decrease inflammation in the body. (Major amounts of polyphenols in herbs too)

Unlike traditional brewed teas, matcha uses the whole-ground tea leaf. Hence the thicker consistency, and its’ ability to pack 137x more antioxidants.

Between the caffeine, and theanine, which helps improve attention and mood, and helps prevent cognitive decline — there’s a juxtaposition of something very soothing and invigorating about matcha.

It’s a pretty amazing food which is why I love this bomb latte. It gives me the aforementioned nutrition and benefits, protein, fat, and regulation of hunger hormones.

Enjoy it and be sure to leave a comment below and on Instagram to tell me how it goes!
